Pending Posts

I have a number of pending blog post titles or simple ideas inside my, err, fake memory card. I can only take note of it when I have something near me that's good enough to be vandalized, just not my hand in that case. But if you might have noticed, I've only written a few blog entries in here, and I have the best answers for that.

First, I usually get ideas inside the bathroom/comfort room. My imagination works really well inside this place. It is very relaxing which is a very good place to think about a lot of things. I can think of anything, from movies, friends, life experiences, craptastic moments, and etc. Now, the moment I get out of it, ideas don't come out with me. Instead, they stay in the bathroom and the moment I come back, they're not there anymore.

Second, I also get really interesting topics/ideas for blog posts when I am about to sleep, The mind usually wanders during these moments, especially when I pray (which I rarely do) and when I am just closing my eyes, waiting for me to sleep. I love it when I remember things that have given me a good laugh or made me feel fvcking crazy even just for a while. The problem is, falling asleep makes me forget a lot of things, and that includes blog ideas.

Third, I love jeepney rides because they make me feel like I have all the time for myself, and of course, ideas also come out during these times of my life. I take a jeepney ride almost 12 times a week, so that would mean about 12 blog post ideas. But the thing is, the moment I step out of the vehicle and reach my destination, my ideas remain inside the jeepney and, yea, fvck my life.

See how pathetic my brain works? It doesn't even take note of things that make my life more worth living. Screw me and my forgetful pea-brain.

Hello, V-Day!

The moment I woke up, checked my Twitter account, and my phone, greetings were everywhere.

"Happy Valentine's/V/Balentimes/Heart's/Single-awareness Day!"

Ok, I am aware that I'm single.

But why is this day really very special? Tell me. I've been dying to know.

But I've also read things like:

"Di porket Valentine's Day ngayon, bitter ka na"

"Wag maging bitter"

"Di ako bitter dahil Vday ngayon"

"mga single, wag maging bitter"

"Di lang mga couples ang pwedeng magdate! Pwedeng magparty ang mga single!"

Yes, the word bitter is everywhere.

Why do people get bitter?

Maybe because EXPECTATIONS don't match with REALITY.

It sucks, really, but if expectations weren't too far from reality, it could have been easier.

This is the sad thing about us, WE EXPECT TOO MUCH FROM PEOPLE TO GET AND GIVE US WHAT WE WANT.

And when they don't, we get bitter, bitter to those people.

Why can't we accept the fact that we don't always get what we want?

Sometimes, we just have to be patient.

Color my Hair with Flaming Red

I think I was outta my mind last Friday and decided to dye my hair with wine red. Stupid, isn't it?


The three of us, Momi Joan and my best friend, Krissie, and I went to some cheap store and bought hair dyes for 12-14php each box, but we had to buy two boxes per head so it only cost us around 30php each. Way, way cheaper than having your hair done in a salon.

So, the three of us, had our hair done at my best friend's house. The funny thing was we had to form a circle and take care of a head, which means, I took care of Krissie's head, she took care of Momi's head, and Momi took care of my head. Now I say that's more stupid. But I loved the experience, we were laughing the whole time.

Hair dye color:
Krissie bought violet purple, result was brown. Hahahahaha!
Momi bought blue black, result was NO CHANGES AT ALL! more Hahahahaha!

Let's talk about LOVE

Yesterday marked the first day of February, the month of LOVE. On the 14th is the most famous, Valentine's Day and restaurants, malls, and parks would soon be jam-packed with dating lovers. Romantic dinners, special reserved wines (?), couples kissing. Sweet, isn't it?

Let's give these couples the time of their lives cause they only get to celebrate Vday once a year, yet us, singles can celebrate 365-1= (so that makes it) 364 days for us. How lucky are we?

All my 19 years of existence, I've never been into romantic relationships, the ones that you call official and go with a label boy/girlfriend. And all my life, I've never really been bitter about it. Well, of course there are times when I wished I had one especially when I see couples around me doing their thing, but it hasn't really made me crave for it. Call me "manang" or what, I don't give a damn.

Getting into a relationships like those isn't that easy. You don't just jump into one without thinking what you're getting into and when you get bored you can just get off it in a blink of an eye, just that. It is something that you should carefully think about. It's either you live happily ever after, or live like shit!-I-am-pwned-and-I-can't-get-out type of life, which usually happens after marriage or after having yourself committed to an overly possessive monster. And we all don't want that.

Love does not equate to having a partner, or being a couple. It transcends the meaning of having one, holding hands, and having sex. It's the beautiful and mutual feeling of affection and acceptance of a person/s whole being. It's what I feel for my family, my best friend, my close friends, and my other friends. But of course, there will really come a time that you will somehow feel the want and need to have a special someone, and that's not bad. You just have to wait and be careful for he may be 'mr. right' or 'mr. fake'.
